What is infrared?
Infrared (IR) is invisible radiant energy, electromagnetic radiation with longer wavelengths than those of visible light. Human eyes only can see light with a wavelength between 320nm-760nm. Infrared, which spans 700nm to 1000nm on the EM spectrum, is beyond what the human eye can see, but the IP camera sensor can detect it and make use of it.

Processing

The results of the profilometer measurement system can be directly put into the diamond machine to provide positive compensation values for the machining of aspheric components. At the same time, curvature, surface flatness, roughness and other indicators can be quantified effectively and accurately.
Testing
Oplens equipped Zygos which work by producing a beam of laser light and transmitting it to the optic under test by way of a very, very accurate lens fitted to the Zygo. This is the key to the instrument's accuracy. As the light passes through this lens, which is not coated, it enables 4% of the light to be reflected back into the Zygo.
